St. Louis Area
Broadway, a Big Concert and a Beethoven Weekend
Boop! The Musical fills the Fox Theatre with six performances over the weekend, SOMBR plays Enterprise Center on Friday at 7 p.m., and the St. Louis Symphony plays Beethoven’s Pastoral on Friday morning and Saturday night. More dates are on the St. Louis Area events page.
Kansas City Area
Symphony, Lanterns and a Haunt
The Kansas City Symphony plays Prokofiev and Barber in Helzberg Hall on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Worlds of Fun runs Halloween Haunt on Friday and Saturday nights, with Tricks and Treats for younger guests on Saturday afternoon, and the Kansas City Zoo’s GloWild lantern paths open at 6 p.m. See the Kansas City Area events page.
Springfield and Branson
Pumpkins and Haunts Through Halloween
Silver Dollar City’s Harvest Festival runs through October 31 with more than 20,000 pumpkins, and the Hotel of Terror and Dungeons of Doom in Springfield open at 7 p.m. through Halloween. Both end Saturday, so Sunday is the day to move on to something else. See the Springfield and Southwest Missouri and Branson and Table Rock Lake pages.
What We Could Not Confirm
We could not confirm the Lake of the Ozarks Halloween weekend events, because the Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitors Bureau calendar did not display its listings when we read it; see the Lake of the Ozarks events page for the dates we have. We could not confirm the St. Louis Blues schedule: check with the team. We left off haunted attractions that only a directory lists (The Darkness, Creepyworld, Field of Screams and others) because their own pages are not confirmed; check with each attraction. The St. Louis Symphony’s site also lists an Extra Credit Choral Concert on November 1 with no time, venue or price, so we left it off.
Regional hubs: Central Missouri, North Missouri, Southeast Missouri, Southern Ozarks.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is happening in Missouri on Halloween weekend 2026?
In St. Louis, Boop! The Musical plays the Fox Theatre all weekend, SOMBR is at Enterprise Center on Friday and the St. Louis Symphony plays Beethoven’s Pastoral on Friday and Saturday. In Kansas City, the Kansas City Symphony plays Prokofiev and Barber, and Worlds of Fun runs Halloween Haunt on Friday and Saturday nights. Silver Dollar City in Branson and the Hotel of Terror in Springfield both run through Saturday, October 31.
Which events are good for families?
Silver Dollar City’s Harvest Festival (more than 20,000 pumpkins, through October 31) and Worlds of Fun’s Tricks and Treats on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. are the family picks we could confirm. Worlds of Fun warns that some Haunt attractions may not suit young children, and the Hotel of Terror is a haunted attraction, so check each organizer’s age guidance.
Do the clocks change this weekend?
Yes. Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, so clocks go back one hour. Friday and Saturday times are Central Daylight Time; Sunday times are Central Standard Time.
Is Missouri playing football this weekend?
Missouri plays at Arkansas on Saturday, October 31, at 6:45 p.m. CDT on the SEC Network, per the Tigers’ schedule page. There is no Mizzou home game this weekend; the next is November 7 against Texas. The Chiefs play at Denver on Sunday; the team’s schedule lists 3:25 p.m. on CBS and Paramount+, and notes that Sunday games can be moved by the league.
Is the Kansas City Zoo’s GloWild open this weekend?
GloWild runs 6 to 10 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, and the zoo’s page lists the run as October 1 to 31, so Friday and Saturday are covered. The page does not say whether Sunday, November 1 is included, and it shows no price, so check the zoo’s calendar first.

What We Could Not Verify
- Prices and times an organizer’s page did not show are marked “not shown” or “not stated” rather than guessed.
- The St. Louis Symphony page does not name a venue for its concerts, so we name none. The Kansas City Symphony page names none either; Helzberg Hall comes from the Kauffman Center’s events listing.
- The Hotel of Terror’s page lists the same 7:00 PM for opening and closing, so we show the opening time only.
- Worlds of Fun, Silver Dollar City and GloWild pages do not give a Sunday, November 1 schedule we can confirm; check each operator.
- The Chiefs kickoff is as listed by the team and can be moved by the league.
- We do not list Facebook-only or Eventbrite-only listings.
